I am a cross-genre speculative fiction author based in Lawrence, Kansas.

My works in progress follow flawed characters searching for hope and belonging in broken worlds. I take inspiration from storytelling forms ranging from ancient epics to tabletop roleplaying games.

I am currently writing the fourth draft of a novel set in the Severed Realms, where monsters roam and men were once immortal. My short story The Raven Wife can be read in Five on the Fifth magazine. I've been a recurring guest on The Act Break podcast where I've discussed generating creative ideas and maintaining joy in the long haul of writing a novel, among other topics.

I also provide editing services for those pursuing either indie or traditional publication. I take great satisfaction in helping writers attain their creative visions through feedback that is actionable, clear, and kind.
